Get in Shape

We all want to get in shape. The Boot Camp's unique exercise methodology and comprehensive nutrition consultation gives you your best chance of reaching your ideal fitness level - and staying there. Every day is different, each building on the day before. You'll lift weights, run, jump rope, perform agility drills, improve your reaction time. Essentially, you get in shape by discovering (or rediscovering) the athlete in you. There is absolutely no sports experience necessary, and the athletic theme of The Boot Camp makes it the most fun you will ever have getting in shape.

Lose Weight

Losing weight is one of the common reasons people enroll in The Boot Camp. To lose weight the right way, you must combine the right kind of exercise with a proper nutrition plan. The Boot Camp provides both elements. Our workouts are designed to fire up your metabolism, and our registered dietitian analyzes your current diet and offers recommendations to help you achieve your goals, utilizing foods you like. If you want to lose weight, The Boot Camp can help you do it the right way. And, because the weight you lose will be fat, if you're not specifically focused on losing weight but rather on simply looking better, our exercise and nutrition combination will help you look your best in the mirror, too.

Lower Body Fat

Everyone wants lower body fat. The Boot Camp makes this a primary focus. As the weeks pass, you will notice a shift in your body composition. You will feel as if you are losing weight before you actually begin to lose weight. Lowering body fat, and increasing lean muscle mass, enables your body to burn more calories (and fat) during the day when you're not exercising. Over time, the body's ability to burn fat throughout the day makes more of a difference in your appearance than the calories or fat you burn during your workout. By emphasizing workouts and nutrition that shift body composition, The Boot Camp is better able to help you lower body fat and reach your goals.

Become Stronger and Build Endurance

For many people, becoming stronger and building endurance requires an eternity in the gym doing an hour or more of cardio before another hour in the weight room, 4-6 days per week. At The Boot Camp, we know you don't have that kind of time. This is why we utilize the powerful concepts of anaerobic conditioning and interval training. We believe in short, intense workouts of infinite variety. You become stronger because we perform whole-body movements with both your bodyweight and a wide spectrum of unique equipment, sometimes in combination. We do not perform arm curls or leg extensions. These don't transfer to the real world. Instead, we perform horizontal bodyweight rows (yes, you can do these - you'll be amazed) and bodyweight squats. We perform many exercises during the warmup phase of each day designed to prevent injury both during the day's workout and in the long run. We build endurance in an exceptionally efficient manner by varying the duration and intensity of our intervals, and by challenging your body anaerobically. At The Boot Camp you will become stronger and build endurance by working harder than you ever have before for a surprisingly brief amount of time.

Improve Speed, Agility, Quickness and Balance

As we age, we gradually lose our overall athleticism. This loss of balance and agility can manifest itself in an unexpected fall or that feeling of having "lost a step." That's why The Boot Camp integrates drills to help you regain that lost speed, balance, reactions and agility. We work on your running form, your quickness of foot, your pure speed. We'll pit you against a small yellow nubby ball called a reaction ball, and everything around you will fade as you find yourself becoming quicker and more agile with every unpredictable bounce of your new best little yellow friend. We'll use medicine balls in ways you never imagined. And as the weeks pass you'll feel more like yourself - the self you were years ago before you stopped practicing, or playing, or truly challenging yourself physically.
